Costume Hire in Ireland

Hi All

Could anyone recommend any costume hire companies in Ireland. WE normally hire from England but their transport costs are getting so expensive. I look forward to hearing from you x

Choir Director - North County Dublin (Paid Position)

Ballyboughal Community Choir seeks Choir Director

The newly established Ballyboughal Community Choir is seeking a highly experienced, energetic and creative Choir Director. 
This new community choir, which is funded as part of Fingal County Council's Arts Act 2024, will serve the community of Ballyboughal as well as surrounding areas. 
The choir will meet weekly from September 2024, creating a social and creative space for the members to come together, explore their voices, grow in confidence and prepare for public performances. 
It is our intention to make the choir a permanent feature within the village, creating opportunities for a growing membership and repertoire. Crucially, access to the choir will be open to adults of any ability, meaning anyone who wants to take part will be welcome.

The ideal candidate will have: 

• Experience as a professional choir director. 

• A passion for working within a community context. 
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.

• The ability to deliver innovative and engaging arrangements for SATB.

• Appreciation and enthusiasm for an eclectic range of musical genres. 

• Experienced in working with singers of varying abilities in a holistic way that supports them while building confidence in their vocal and performance abilities. 

• A high level of musicianship as well as being a skilled accompanist. 


The Main duties of the post include:

• Planning and leading weekly rehearsals. 

• Preparing musical arrangements

• Growing the repertoire of the choir

• Preparing the choir for public performances. 


Salary 
€100 per weekly 90min session. (Including prep and travel)  

*Please note, this position is being funded through a Fingal Arts Act Grant 2024. The position will be based initially on a fixed term, one year contract, with the potential to be extended dependant on future funding.
