NEWS: AIMS Adjudicators for 2024/2025 Season

Now that the 23/24 Show Season is coming the end with the AIMS National Festival approaching very fast...we'd like to introduce our AIMS Adjudicators for 2024/2025 season as they'll be hitting the road soon for the exciting season ahead!

We are delighted to welcome Pat McElwain as the Gilbert Adjudicator for the 2024-2025 season. He holds a MA in Theatre Studies from Dublin City University and brings a wide, valued and extensive experience to this role from his work as a Producer, Actor, Writer and of course his work as an acclaimed Director.

His directing credits include Honk!, Fiddler on the Roof, Michael Collins-A Musical Drama and Crazy for You to name a few and along the way he has on nine occasions shows he’s worked on have been nominated for Best Overall Show at the AIMS Awards. He has also won and been nominated on multiple occasion for Best Directors, Best Comedian and Best Supporting Actor. He is a three time winner of the Best Director Award for the Waterford International Festival of Light Opera.

Pat brings with him a wealth of experience and he is really looking forward to an exciting and memorable year ahead when talent will be centre stage throughout.

We are thrilled to welcome Therese Maher as the Sullivan Adjudicator the 2024-2025 season. She holds a B.A in Music from Mary Immaculate College, a diploma in Event Management (Limerick Business School), and a post-graduate in Stage Management and Technical Theatre (Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama). For the last 14 years she has been running her own performing arts school Dwan Academy Performing Arts School in Thurles and in 2023, she set up Limelight Theatricals, a youth musical theatre group. She brings with her a wealth of experience in production, direction, choreography and much more. Her directing & choreography credits include Miss Saigon, Les Miserable and Copacabana to name a few and she has also worked as Production Manager all over the world including Pleasance Theatre, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, East End Film Festival and Only the Brave.

Therese brings passion, dedication and experience across many artistic fields and she is looking forward to an exciting year ahead and the talent that awaits her.

We are also delighted to welcome back our Programme Adjudicators Brian Gunning (Gilbert Adjudicator 2024-2025) and John Grayden (Sullivan Adjudicator 2024-2025) and we wish them well for the year ahead also.

We would like to thank very much our outgoing AIMS Adjudicators Peter Kennedy and Caroline Daly-Jones for the many miles they have travelled, the time they have given and we wish them both well on their next adventures.

The warmest of welcomes Pat and Therese as they hit the road to enjoy many shows up and down the country over the 2024-2025 season.
